Answers are born of experience

Do you have questions about our wines and wine tours? Feel free to browse the answers to all your questions.

  • Do I need to make a reservation for a tour?

A reservation is not required, but it is recommended as we wish to ensure a safe, relaxing and intimate experience for all our guests. The tour schedule varies daily/seasonally and we recommend you check our booking system per tour.

  • How much time does it take to do a wine tasting?

All wine tasting experiences start with a tour that usually takes about 15-20 minutes. The “Estate Argyros Welcome” option has a duration of approximately 45 minutes in total, while for the “Taste the Real Santorini” you need to allow 90 minutes. The duration of the tours may vary depending on the season and the visitor’s interests.

  • Can I bring my kids to the winery?

Well behaved kids are always welcome on Estate Argyros, but need to be closely attended to by parents at all times. We do not have a playground or offer activities for children, so please consider bringing quiet activities to keep them entertained. Children are allowed in the winery and on our tours. Anyone under the age of 18 cannot drink, unless there is a parent’s consent.

  • Can I bring my pet to the winery?

Certified service animals are welcome on all areas.

In any other case, leashed pets are welcome on the property on all outside areas such as the parking and the patio. When you bring your pet, you should always respect others, which include keeping your dog leashed and under your control at all times. Please note that dogs or other are still not allowed in the tasting room and on winery tours.

  • How can I get to Estate Argyros?

Guests reach the winery by private cars, by rented transfers, by taxi or by bus.

If you need further assistance please send an email at

  • Where can I park my car, when visiting the winery?

Once you enter the Estate Argyros’ property there is a parking area.

There is no fee for the parking and you cannot reserve a parking position.

  • Do you have any suggestions to make my wine tasting experience better?

To have the best wine tasting experience, it is important to be open-minded and be willing to try new wines.

Our sommeliers are experienced and well informed and will help you discover new tastes and styles. Try to have a clean palate and avoid wearing heavy perfume, eating mints, smoking, consuming sweet beverages/candy/ice cream, and spicy foods before tasting.

  • What is the best time of the year to visit?

Estate Argyros stays open all year round except on National Holidays. You can plan your visit at the time of year that’s best for you. Winter tend to be more quiet. Summer is warm with windy days often, while spring and autumn have moderate temperatures and maybe some rain.

Check winery’s availability before planning your visit or send us and email at

  • Are your facilities handicapped accessible?

Yes. All areas at the winetasting room and patio are handicapped accessible. Also, the vineyards and production area can be accessed by a wheel chair.

  • Is there a lot of walking or standing?

We can always accommodate anyone in a wheelchair. There are no stairs to climb during the tour and the whole experience before the wine tasting lasts approximately 15-20 minutes. Due to the floor being wet at some times during the harvest time, it is important to have good footing and stability.

  • What should I expect to see on a tour?

We offer a guided tour that is both informative as well as entertaining. We like to begin all tours at our vineyard. Here, we will highlight some of our winery history as well as outline some of our growing practices and grape styles. The tour will proceed into our winemaking facilities where we talk about our philosophy in the cellar.

  • Do you offer wine by the glass or buy a bottle of wine and have it opened to drink in the Tasting Room?

We do offer wines by the glass, but do not permit to open bottles of wine at the winery.

  • Do you have a restaurant on-site?

We do not have a restaurant on-site. All wine tasting experiences include bites, with items like charcuterie, cheese and crackers etc, varying among the different tasting options. There are a number of excellent restaurants nearby our winery or in different areas of the islands as well.

  • Is smoking allowed at Estate Argyros?

Estate Argyros is a smoke-free property, including the use of e-cigarettes and vapes. No Smoking is allowed inside, outside or in the vineyards and productions area, including the use of e-cigarettes and vapes. Smoking is only in the parking area and in a specific area outside the winery without disturbing others tasting.

  • Can I find your wine in stores or restaurants?

Yes! We are currently carried in many restaurants and retailers.

If you would like to enjoy our wines during your stay on Santorini or in other places in Greece, you can ask for recommendations during the tasting or you may send us an email at

  • Can I find Estate Argyros’ wines back home?

Our wines are widely exported in many countries all over the world.

If you would like to get more detailed information about the availability of our wines in your country, please send us an email at

  • Do you ship wine?

Yes. We do ship wine internationally by UPS when purchase is done at the winery. Shipping requirements and prices vary from country to country and they are all set by UPS.

Ask for more information at the wine tasting room.

  • Can I travel with wines?

At the winery there are wine skins available for sale. Wine skin is a special packaging that protects the bottles in your suitcase and is also accepted by all airlines.

The number of bottles that you can carry back home is limited by the rules and regulations of the airlines and of customs of each country.
