In 2021, Estate Argyros continued gathering medals, accolades and distinctions at an impressive, seemingly unstoppable rate. Our wines made it to the top, no matter how high the bar was set.
From the list of awards up to now, we initially pick Decanter World Wine Awards, where Estate Argyros was the only producer to get three Platinum medals, half of all awarded to Greek participating wineries. At the same competition, only one producer, Lustau from Jerez Spain, won four Platinum medals in total.
Additionally, for another year in a row, an Estate Argyros’ wine stands at the top of the Balkan International Wine Competition, winning a Grand Trophy as the best wine of the show.
Finally, seeing Estate Argyros included among the top 100 wineries in the world, as selected by the amazing team of Wine & Spirits magazine, fills us with pride and responsibility in equal measures!
A special mention of the two new incarnations of Estate Argyros Vinsanto, First and Late release. These releases, on one hand, have been very well accepted by all competitions, acknowledging their quality. On the other hand, taking a closer look at the results, one can see that critics and judges do not try to pick up one of the two as the “best wine”, but they do understand that both First and Late releases are different yet equally important aspects of the Estate Argyros Vinsanto.
Last but not least, we have to say that the greatest reward for us is the growing demand for our wines in Greece and abroad. Because, the ultimate wine quality criterion is not the number of medals won but the amount of pleasure these wines can offer.
